SALINA — Four Salina residents have been arrested in connection with the theft of items belonging to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and a burglary of a garage of a former deputy police chief.
Captain Sean Morton said items valued at $4,500 that belonged to a KBI agent and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation were taken from a truck in east Salina on March 20. Also reported on March 20 was the theft of a 27-inch, flat-screen TV taken from the garage of the home of Mike Marshall, a former Salina deputy police chief.
Police received a report of several people throwing items into a trash bin Thursday night at the Korner Store at Ninth and Crawford, and officers recovered some of the items stolen from the KBI agent.
Thursday evening, police made a traffic stop of a car that was in a surveillance video from the store and found drug paraphernalia in the car. A search warrant was obtained for an apartment where items taken from the KBI and agent and the flat screen TV were recovered.
Arrested in connection with the cases were DiAntre Lemmie, 19, Jeremy Cullen, 19, Quincy Williams, 20, and Yolanda Cathey, 23.
