SALINA, Kan — A Fort Riley soldier was arrested Thursday night on a charge of sexual exploitation of a child, after being found in a car on a Saline County road with a 16-year-old Salina girl.
Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said a deputy drove past what appeared to be an empty car in the 5300 block of South Centennial about 6:30 p.m. Thursday. When he turned around to check on the car, the deputy reported Scott Wilhelm, 22, crawled out of the back seat into the front seat of the car. The girl was in the back seat.
Kochanowski said Wilhelm was arrested after the deputy learned the two, who had met through a dating service online, had exchanged nude pictures via their phones and arranged to meet each other.
