SALINA, Kan. (AP) — Authorities have identified a man whose body was found in an ice-covered central Kansas creek.
The Saline County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that the man was 65-year-old Robert Lloyd Basye. The Salina Journal reports that his body was found Thursday night in Mulberry Creek near far-north Salina.
An autopsy has been ordered, and the sheriff’s office planned to release more information during a briefing Tuesday.
Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said the man had likely been dead for a couple of days before his body was found by a man who had been walking in the area with his daughter.
